We are pleased to announce that our Cyprus office has participated in the 2023 Limassol Marathon, this past Saturday, on March 18, at the 9AM PrimeTel 5km Corporate Race! Orbex employees ran for a good cause, in the latest Corporate Marathon, organized by the Cyprus OPAP GSO.
The Limassol Marathon is the biggest annual running event on the island, attracting tens of thousands of visitors every year. With tens of thousands of runners from hundreds of leading companies based in Cyprus, the Limassol Marathon was a great team building activity for our Cyprus-based teams.
Apart from promoting a healthy lifestyle, the event is also used as a massive fundraiser to support a wide range of charitable causes. Some of the most notable local NGOs supported by the Limassol Marathon include: Little Heroes, PASYKAF, Agios Stefanos Foundation, Center for Preventive Paediatrics, the Cyprus Transplant Association and more.
About the Limassol Marathon
OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO is the official marathon of Cyprus and certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). It is the largest sports event in Cyprus.
