InstaForex Loprais Team on path to Dakar 2019
Less than a month remains before the Dakar 2019 rally-marathon. Ales Loprais, the Spanish navigator Ferran Marco Alcaina and the chief engineer Petr Pocor will start at January 6 in Lima. The team will have to overcome 10 stages in the “trucks” category.
Until recently, active training was conducted in the workshop in the Czech town of Frenstat pod Radhostem. After that, the racing team "InstaForex Loprais" went to the city of Le Havre in France to settle administrative formalities, and from where the team will go by sea to Peru.
“If we were given another week to prepare, we would still work on the machine, as there is always something to do. Improving our racing Tatra is a daily effort and a long process. While our team is heading to America, I went to Dubai to practice sand dunes by the end of the month, because the organizers of Dakar promise that about 70% of the route will be sandy. ”
Ales Loprais made his debut on the Dakar in 2006 as the navigator of his uncle. Since then, the driver never missed a competition and took part in 12 Dakar marathons, won 9 stages, finished 5 times among the top 10 riders. In early January, the Tatra truck of the InstaForex Loprais team will start at number 507.
