Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

The time has come for the most colorful holiday in the southeastern world - Mid-Autumn Festival, also called the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival.

Originating 3000 years ago from the legend of Chang'e, the Moon goddess in Chinese myths, the holiday has evolved into a celebration of the harvest and the end of summer, when the full Moon shines brightly across the sky. To symbolize this, mooncakes, a nutritious pastry made of bread, egg, beans, meat or seed paste (pictured), are served on the holiday table.
